こんな動き、見たことない！！こんなアニメーション、
見たことない！！中村智道は子どもの頃、
来る日も来る日も一人で蟻の巣を、何時間見ていても飽きなかった、
という。彼が起きたまま見ている美しい夢がここに、
奇跡のように再現された。それは、中村の目にだけ映っている
ものであり、私たちは彼の作品を見るしか手だてがない。
制作のプレッシャーで精神を病む程、真摯な意欲・極度の集中を
もって中村のアニメーションは作られている。
端から見ていて、そのあまりの思い入れに、
作品が破綻して完成しないのではないか、と私は危惧していた。
今回「蟻」をプレミア上映できることを、たいへん嬉しく思う。

For the second year running, we’re combining the best "alternative" animation we found in Tokyo and Seoul in one knockout program. Several of these movies start from the perception that we’re going to hell in a handcart, and so Apocalypse looms as an over-arching theme. But our prime concern has been to explore diversity in storytelling, style and technique. The films are listed in program order.
